Brandon Hunt
Born in Detroit, Brandon brought his lifelong love of square pizza to Texas. He oversees brand vision, culinary standards, and ensures every pie leaves the kitchen the Via 313 way.
Discover the passion, the people, and the purpose behind every perfectly crispy, cheese-laden square we serve at Via 313.
It all started with a craving. Brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where square pizza wasn't just a meal — it was a way of life. After relocating to Austin, Texas, they realized no one else was making the thick, airy, crispy-edged Sicilian-style pizza they'd grown up loving.
In 2011, they decided to fix that. Starting as a pop-up out of a trailer, Via 313 quickly earned a devoted following for its meticulously crafted dough, generous toppings that reach every corner, and the signature caramelized cheese crust baked against the edges of the steel pan. The "313" in the name is Detroit's area code — a constant nod to the city that inspired it all.
"We wanted to bring real Detroit-style pizza to Texas — not a version of it, not an interpretation of it. The real thing. And we've never compromised on that."
From a single trailer to multiple brick-and-mortar locations across Texas, Via 313 has grown — but the spirit has stayed the same. Every pie is made by hand, every ingredient is sourced with intention, and every customer is treated like family.
Everything we do — from sourcing our ingredients to welcoming guests through the door — flows from these three commitments.
To serve the most authentic Detroit-style pizza outside of Michigan — made with hand-crafted dough, premium toppings, and the kind of care that turns a meal into a memory.
To become the most beloved regional pizza brand in the South — one square slice at a time — while staying true to the neighborhood spirit that built us.
Every pizza that leaves our kitchen meets our standard — crispy bottom, airy crumb, and enough cheese to reach every corner. If it doesn't, we make it right.
These values aren't on a poster — they're baked into every pan, every shift, and every interaction.
We treat every pizza like it's going to our own family's table. No shortcuts, no compromise.
From Wisconsin brick cheese to locally sourced vegetables — we believe great pizza starts with great ingredients.
We show up for our neighborhoods — supporting local events, giving back, and treating every guest like a neighbor.
We constantly refine our recipes, train our team, and raise our own bar — because good enough never is.
From a humble trailer to a Texas institution — every milestone that shaped who we are today.
